The official language of the Congress is English.

Spanish and Portuguese tracks will be available.

Personal Insurance

The meeting organisers cannot accept liability for personal injuries sustained, or for loss or damage of property belonging to meeting participants, either during, or as a result of the meeting. Please check the validity of your own insurance.

The average temperature in Madrid in September ranges between 16°C – 26°C.

Dress Code

Casual for all occasions. Please bring walking shoes.

Airport Information

The distance from Madrid Barajas Airport to central Madrid is 15 km (9 miles).

Taxi

There are taxis outside each Terminal’s Arrivals area. Journey time to central Madrid is around 25-30 minutes depending on traffic.
Fare: Around € 15 – € 30 including airport supplements.
Make sure you take a cab from the official stand and not from someone offering taxis inside the terminal.

Metro / Subway

The Madrid Metro subway system links the airport with the city. Use the Metro network to connect with long distance trains. The airport Metro stations are located in Terminal 2 on the connecting corridor to Parking area 2 and Terminal 4. Trip to central Madrid involves transferring at Mar de Cristal and Nuevos Ministerios (Line 8) to your required destination. The Metro Systems works daily from 6 am to 2 am. Journey time to central Madrid, via Lines 4 and 6, is 40 minutes.

Train (RENFE)

Madrid – Barajas Airport is also linked with the downtown by RENFE (the Spain rail networks) station located at Terminal 4.

Line C1 trains departs from T4 every 30 minutes.

Bus

The 24 hours Airport bus to Madrid Downtown departs from the Arrivals level of each terminal .

Car

For central Madrid take A-2 Barcelona route to M-30 highway. For M-40 highway take A-10 to Junction 3 or Junction 9.
Journey time to central Madrid is 20-30 minutes depending on traffic.
