Onsite General Guidelines

Chairpersons

Strongly recommended: Make sure to finish the session on time.

  1. Introduce the speaker briefly (name, institute/organization) – unfortunately there is not enough time to give a detailed background history of the speaker.
  2. Remind the speaker that he/she has a total of XXX minutes per presentation (see presentation and discussion times below).

Please be aware that an important part of your task is to keep the speakers on time. We have an extremely tight schedule to keep, and the organisers are relying on you to keep the sessions in schedule. You are authorised to be ruthless in keeping speakers on time.

Workshops

45 minutes session: Depending on the number of presenters, each can have 15 minutes maximum (2 presenters’ session) for their presentation.

We strongly recommend a discussion time of at least one third of the total time of the session taking place at the end of all interventions.

Symposia

90 minutes session: Depending on the number of presenters, each one will have 15 minutes maximum (4 presenters’ sessions) or 15 minutes maximum for their presentation.

We strongly recommend a discussion time of at least one third of the total time of the session taking place at the end of all interventions.

Oral Presentations

90 minutes sessions: Depending on the number of presenters, the time allotted to each presenter will be 7 minutes maximum, followed by 2 minutes for discussion.
